The 2024 Polestar 3’s Configurator Is Now Live, How Would You Spec Your Electric SUV?

Polestar has just revealed their new 3 electric luxury SUV, and along with the debut of the vehicle itself, the configurator for it has already gone live to allow potential buyers to spec it to their heart’s content.

The Polestar 3 is now the largest vehicle in the Swedish automaker’s lineup, and it will share a platform with the Volvo XC90‘s effective replacement called EV90 . To get a sense of its size, the 3’s 117.5-in (2,985 mm) wheelbase falls just under an inch above the Tesla Model X’s, but a few inches shorter than the three-row Rivian R1S’s. Pricing for the Polestar 3 starts at $83,900, which puts it in line with other luxury SUVs in its class, electric or otherwise.

Exterior colors on offer include various shades of white, black and silver (plus a single blue), but for those looking for something that stands out from the crowd while still remaining subtle, there’s another color called Jupiter. This hue is a champagne-esque color with the slightest hint of pink thrown in, and it reminds us of a more conservative version of Porsche’s Frozen Berry Metallic.

For the interior, as standard, you have a choice between Bio-Attributed MicroTech in Charcoal and Animal Welfare Wool in Charcoal for the upholstery, and both are paired exclusively with aluminum trim. Upgrade to the Animal Welfare Nappa leather, and you get your choice in color between Zinc (white) and Jupiter, but this time your only trim option is Black Ash Deco.

Included with every Polestar 3 are the Pilot and Plus packs, which adds various driver assistance systems to the SUV, as well as a host of amenities and visual touches throughout the vehicle.

The first of two optional packs is the Performance pack, which ups the SUV’s output from 483 hp (489 PS / 360 kW) and 620 lb-ft (840 Nm) to to 510 hp (517 PS / 380 kW) and 671 lb-ft (910 Nm), and slashes its 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time from 4.9 seconds to 4.7 seconds. There’s also the Pilot pack with LiDAR, which adds advanced LiDAR scanning to aid the driver assistance systems, but it won’t be available to order until mid-2023.

There are two wheel options for the base Polestar 3 that buyers can choose from: the 21-inch 5-V Spoke black diamond cut wheel and the 22-inch 4-V Spoke black polished forged wheel. Upgrade to the Performance pack and you get a third wheel option: the 22-inch 4-Multi spoke black polished forged wheel.

The final section allows you to add various accessories to your Polestar 3, which include things like roof racks, a sunshade for the panoramic roof, mudflaps, all-weather floor mats, and a retractable towbar hitch.
