Toyota unveils hydrogen-powered Corolla Cross concept

Toyota is continuing to develop its hydrogen-powered internal-combustion engine technology through the lens of motorsport, but has now revealed its most road-going concept yet.

The Toyota Corolla Cross H2 concept largely looks like a regular Corolla Cross SUV but has the powertrain of a race car.

The race car in question is the hydrogen-powered GR Corolla H2 that has been competing in the Super Taikyu endurance racing series in Japan since May 2021 by the Rookie Racing division of Toyota Gazoo Racing.

The powertrain was also used in a GR Yaris concept that competed in a special demonstration run during the ninth round of the World Rally Championship (WRC) in Ypres, Belgium in August this year.

Although this Corolla Cross H2 concept uses the same fuel source as the Mirai hydrogen fuel-cell electric vehicle (FCEV), the two are different.

Motorcyclists ride four, ensure helmets are fastened

Among the myriad motoring experiences, motorcycling brings its own unique brand of joy. The sensations of facing the wind as you ride along, in addition to the unique motions involved in navigating any given path on two wheels is quite special. Add to that the company of good friends, and enjoyment is almost certainly to be had.

However, try to not get carried away. As this video posted to Twitter shows, what appears to be a group of friends on several motorcycles are travelling in a tightly spaced group, and the front group of four appear to be engaged in conversation while riding.

It isn’t completely clear from the footage if the motorcyclist at the rear of the pack is part of the roving group, though he will eventually collide with another rider from said group, who had slowed down from his initial position at the front of the pack. …

Volkswagen will be unveiling the new ID.3 to the public this coming spring. The second-generation ID.3 is set to be the latest chapter in the ID. family success story: To date, more than half a million ID. models – built on the basis of the modular electric drive matrix (MEB) – have been delivered to customers around the world. Currently, the ID.3 is produced at the Zwickau and Dresden plants in Germany. However, the production network will be expanded next year to include the main Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg. At the BMW Welt in Munich, Germany, Automotive Rhythms had a chance to witness the much-anticipated BMW 3.0 CSL (Coupe Sport Lightweight) which honors the 50th Anniversary of BMW M and its storied racing passion. Fifty of these prestigious and mostly hand-built machines will be produced by a special team of 30 associates at BMW M GmbH in Munich.

The original 3.0 CSL (E9) aka “The Batmobile” was engineered in 1972 and competed in 1973 where it won the Nürburgring 6 Hours driven by Amon and Stuck. A 2015 3.0 CSL concept, on display at the BMW Museum, also served as an inspiration for the newly introduced 50th Anniversary 3.0 CSL by BMW M.
