A faulty cooling system is one of the major causes of engine failure. That’s because your engine can frequently overheat when one or more components of your cooling system go bad. One of the most crucial parts of your engine’s cooling system is the radiator fan.

If your vehicle’s radiator fan is faulty, don’t think twice about replacing it. Read on to find out how much a radiator fan replacement costs, how much its labor cost can amount to, and more.

How Much Is a Radiator Fan?

You can usually get a radiator fan or cooling fan assembly for around $50 to $500. Some assemblies are priced higher depending on their inclusions. The fans’ design type and recommended use (OE or performance replacement) can also affect their pricing.

Nissan Australia has confirmed details for its new X-Trail e-Power hybrid, with pricing to kick off at $54,190 before on-road costs for the RAV4 Hybrid rival when it arrives early in 2023.

The hybrid X-Trail will only be offered in high-spec Ti and Ti-L trim levels, and represent a $4200 premium over the equivalent X-Trail 2.5-litre petrol. Toyota’s most expensive petrol-electric RAV4 is the Edge AWD Hybrid, which starts at $52,700 before on-roads – $2500 dearer than the Edge AWD petrol.

It also means the X-Trail e-Power starts at a similar price to the Outlander Plug-in Hybrid EV (from $54,590), which shares the same basic architecture but offers a 84km electric-only range and lower claimed fuel consumption.

Nissan Australia claims the X-Trail e-Power with e-4orce all-wheel drive will use 6.1 litres per 100km on the combined cycle, 1.3L/100km more than a Toyota RAV4 AWD Hybrid.

Renault has teased its first Geely-based model, which will be produced in South Korea and use hybrid powertrains.

The French automaker has published a shadowy image of a rakish coupe crossover ahead of its 2024 introduction.

It says it’ll launch an all-new line-up of hybrid models in the D-segment “based on the latest Geely-Volvo technologies for both local and export markets starting 2024”.

Chinese carmaker Geely has a controlling interest in Volvo, its EV spinoff Polestar, LEVC (producer of London’s iconic black taxi cabs), Lotus, and Proton.

It acquired a third of Renault Korea Motors earlier this year and, though the latter will use underpinnings supplied by the former, the Franco-Korean division intends to invest more than €900 million (A$1.39bn) over the next six years.

This investment will focus on software, connectivity, electrification and “competitive localization”.

“This vehicle will be designed, developed & produced in South Korea,” said Renault

While gas prices have largely fallen across the country, Californians are still paying an average of $6.28 per gallon as of this writing. Politicians in the state have noted the discrepancy and laid the blame squarely on oil companies. Now, gas refiner and marketer Valero Energy Corp. has responded directly and called the state’s policies out in return.

California Governor Gavin Newsom posted a video on Twitter back on September 30th where he called out gas companies. “Oil companies are ripping you off. Their record profits are coming at your expense at the pump,” the Tweet said. He then called for a new tax on oil companies and promised to return the cash to Californians.

Just a few days later on October 5th, California Energy Commission chair David Hochschild sent a letter to oil executives asking why there’s been a spike in gas prices despite a decrease in crude oil
