Unlike some, I didn’t have a strong connection with Honda’s last Civic Type R hatch, or even a desire to ever drive one, primarily because of the outrageously-styled body kit that inflicted it with an overtly cartoonish profile.

That was early 2018, before I ended up in the driver’s seat of a Championship White FK8 Type R and proceeded to systematically take apart a number of the more challenging sections in the Victorian high country in less than ideal conditions – it was a bit damp and a bit sketchy.

Just to make sure we didn’t drink too much of Honda’s Kool-Aid, we brought along two of its toughest rivals; the Ford Focus RS and Renault Megane R.S.

The Focus was my preordained favourite for its added poke and all-wheel drive stickiness on damp surfaces, while the Megane wasn’t far behind in the power stakes but also gained all-wheel

Tapi perjalanannya agak jauh kerana mereka perlu keluar

Why wait months for a new car when a mobility service will grant you access to one in just minutes? By Karim Kaddoura

Cities are changing at a pace never seen before, and in the last few years, the idea of car-free areas has been gaining traction. From London’s ULEZ and Ghent’s ‘Circulatieplan’ to Birmingham’s Clean Air Zone and Brussel’s Le Pietonnier, city planners around the world are embarking on large-scale, dynamic social experiments. These are just part of a line of action by political leaders across the UK and Europe to discourage the use of personal cars within cities in the move away from a 20th century, petroleum-based world. But what about when it comes to the individual, to the general public—what do their changing attitudes mean when it comes to private car ownership?

Consider younger generations—Millennials and Gen Z. Growing up in a world of next day delivery,

Up to 16 percent of Americans currently have bad to fairly bad credit, which is about 108 million people with a FICO score of 300-579.

Monika Dernai, the head of the sustainability team at BMW, said this week that one simple way of reducing waste and the impact of automobiles on the environment is simply to make them last longer.

“We really need to think about prolonging the life of cars; not having a used car market where you sell cars to each other, but maybe take a car and extend its lifespan,” said Dernai, per AutoExpress. “The idea could be that you could freshen up the interior.”

The question of how best reduce the automotive industry’s impact on the environment is a complex one, as countries look to phase out internal combustion vehicles in favor of newer, electric ones. But as is often pointed out, the production of electric vehicles is hard on the environment.

2022 Nissan Armada in white.

Nissan’s largest SUV gets a modest price increase and Amazon Alexa Built-in (for all but the base model) for the 2023 model year. The increase pushes the 2023 Nissan Armada’s base price just across the $50,000 line — the cheapest Armada will cost $50,400 for 2023, plus $1,695 in destination and handling fees.

The Armada is known for a near-luxury feature list and a burly standard V8, putting out 400 horsepower. It loses the towing war to domestic models like the Jeep Wagoneer but still posts a respectable pulling number at 8,500 pounds.

For the 2023 model year, every trim level other than the base S model gets Amazon Alexa Built-in. This feature enables you to play music, take calls, control smart-home devices, and more via voice commands. A level up, the Armada SV adds standard remote engine start, LED front fog lights, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a

Kia Australia is planning to offer more colour and trim options, as well as shorter windows between placing an order and having your vehicle start coming down the production line.

It’s no secret that the Korean brand offers a number of exterior and interior colour and trim options in its home market as well as overseas that generally don’t make it to Australia.

According to Kia’s local chief operating officer, Damien Meredith, that could be changing within the next two years.

“We’ve been big on keeping things as simple as possible,” Mr Meredith told CarExpert.

“If product planning had their way we’d have 15 colours [for everything], but we like to keep things pretty tight and simplistic. But with OTD (Order To Deliver), it is going to happen.”

“It will happen where a customer will come in and say ‘I want

An electric pick-up truck by BYD has been spied undergoing tests, according to China PEV, and the upcoming model could debut next year with fully electric as well as hybrid powertrains, according to the publication.

This could be a rival to the Radar RD6 from the Geely group, a fully electric dual-cab pick-up truck based on the Geely Haoyue VX11 SUV that will form the basis of the Proton X90 seven-seater SUV that is set to debut next year.

According to Car Expert, BYD plans to build a “powerful brand matrix” consisting of brands BYD for its core line-up, Denza for the premium segment, Yangwang for the luxury SUV segment and “another new brand”. BYD’s electric pick-up truck will come under the latter, which the company says will specialise in “professional and personalised identities, covering family cars and luxury cars,” it said.

On 12 November 2022, The European Commission (EC) presented its proposal for Euro 7 emission standards, covering both light and heavy vehicles in the European Union. While CO2 emission rules will drive the deployment of zero-emission vehicles, the EC made it clear that ensuring all vehicles on European roads are much cleaner is essential. Part of the reasoning behind this proposal is linked to the environmental and health risks. Transport across Europe is still a major contributor to air pollution and premature deaths. On average, the EC found it responsible for 39% of the harmful NOx emissions in 2018 (47% in urban areas) and 11% of total PM emissions in 2018.

As part of the proposal, all new cars and vans sold in the EU will not emit any CO2 from 2035. However, according to the EC, more than 20% of pre-existing cars and vans and over 50% of heavy-duty
